ALEiGN is about teams working together to 'Make Better' and the tool works best when the whole team use it... let's get your team working.

To get started with ALEiGN you need an invite from your ALEiGN connection. Connecting is easy, introduce yourself through the chat (bottom right corner) and we'll be in touch. 

Once you have created your account from the invite, you can then invite the rest of your team... or teams.

Explanation of Terms.
Setup is one word when it is a noun (e.g., “it was a setup!”) or an adjective (e.g., “follow the setup instructions”). It is two words 'set up', when it functions as a verb (e.g., “I’m going to set up the computer”, "Let's Set Up your ALEiGN account).

We use Set Up and Log In instead of Set Up and Sign In as we find them too similar and cause confusion.

We want to Set Up and Create something that is yours.

The Set Up process goes like this.

The invite you and your team will receive will look something like the one below.

Following the 'Click This!' link in the email will take you to the signup page where you 'Set Up Your Account'.

You need to Set Up with the same email address you received the invite... 'the email'. You can change this later, see 'HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PROFILE'. You can Set Up with your Microsoft account or Google account if 'the email' is connected to one of these providers. This is via OAuth (for those interested). Click the 'Set Up with... [insert relevant software giant here]' button and follow the instructions from there. 

If you don't have or don't want to use an OAuth Set Up, fill out the form with your Full Name and a new password (and password confirmation) for the account. We already have your email from the invite. Click the 'Complete Set Up' button to finish the process. 

You will find yourself back on the login page and can sign into your new account with your new credentials.

Summary of the Process Flow

  1. We start with an email invite from an existing owner or manager (a participant cannot invite new members)
  2. Follow the link in the email to Set Up your account.
  3. You can Set Up your account with MS OR Google OR your name and password .. the MS or Google account Set Up must be the same email address you were invited with.
  4. Once the Set Up is complete, you can Log In to your new account. You will need to Log In manually after the Set Up
  5. We Set Up the account from the invite because the inviter (manager or owner) has already created the account referencing your email address.
Thinking Out Loud
Isn't it interesting that people who use software apps are called 'users'. You might think there would be some reservation using this term, considering the connotation of 'a user' whether in the context of illicit substances or being used by or using somebody. We believe a more collaborative word is appropriate. 
ALEiGN endeavours to guide teams or groups of skilled individuals, understand a common outcome and the effort required to get there. We refer to Colleagues & Participants however Members? Troops? Comrades? Crew? may all be relevant. Who is your work Tribe made up of?
